All week, Sammy Zabib was getting an earful from his girlfriend for forgetting to buy her a pair of designer jeans she spotted in a casino boutique last weekend. "She was mad," said Zabib, a 42-year-old limousine fleet manager in New York. "We had an argument. More than one." They're not arguing now. On a return trip to pick up the jeans and end the grief Friday morning, Zabib won nearly $800,000 playing a slot machine. The feds are somewhat worried that a large U.S. spy satellite has lost power and could hit the Earth in late February or March. Apparently the satellite can’t be controlled and could contain hazardous materials. Insiders say they don’t know where it might come down. To put in perspective, the satellite is about the size of a bus. A spokesman for the National Security Council said the satellite is most likely used to gather visual information from space about enemy governments and terror groups. It may also take photos of construction at suspected nuclear sites or militant training camps.
