A woman in Norwalk, New York took her family to visit the Maritime Aquarium has filed a $100 claim against the city because her kid’s shoes were ruined when her 1 year old stepped in a pile of dog droppings.  The attorney for the city says “her claim is denied and poop happens.” In other words, she won’t get any money.

An Omaha man struggling to breathe used a steak knife to perform an at-home tracheotomy. He said he thought he was going to die when he woke up and couldn't breath. The man said he didn't call 911 because he didn't think help would arrive in time. So, the 55-year-old got a steak knife from the kitchen and made a small hole in his throat, allowing air to gush in. He suffered from throat cancer and related breathing problems several years ago. About that time, he had an episode where he couldn't breath because his air passages swelled shut. He said that's what happened this time around. Good news is, doctors don't expect the man to suffer any adverse affects from the tracheotomy once it's healed.
